Aditya's pov - Few moments ago -
I was sitting on the couch in my living room whils looking through some photos of Gauri that i had taken without her knowledge .
When a voice , a voice that sounded oddly similar interuppted that beautiful moment .
"Aditya ." That was when everything hit me and i realised who the onwer of that voice could be .
The voice that i never wanted to hear that ever again ..
"Aditya . " She came and hugged me but before i could have pushed her away i heard Gauri's voice making me look at her and then my eyes met her flaming and questioning eyes . I pushed vani away in a second . I let her hug me for even those few seconds just because my attention diverted at gauri's voice otherwise i wouldnt have even let her touch me for a second .
"Aditya , What are you doing ?" Vani said while acting like she had gotten hurt .
"Why are you even here vani ? What the hell do you want now ? "I asked her while gritting my teeth with my voice filled with anger .
"I want you back Aditya . I realised what I had done wrong and i apologize for that and i am seriously so so sorry . I got to know your worth after i left you ." She said in her sugarcoated voice trying to make me feel that she still had feelings for me while i looked at her with pure disgust .
But before i could have said something a stern voice was heard .
"Ms Vani i didn't know reporters stopped so low . "I found gauri approaching me while looking at Vani .
"Oh you ? What are you doing here ?" She asked Gauri in her venomous tone with a frown .
"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that ? I mean you are standing in my house after all ." Gauri said while looking at her with her strong gaze .
"Oh so you work part time here ? Nice headline for the next article ." She said and Gauri was about to step forward and say something when I held her wrist and stopped her making her look at me .
"Be careful on how you speak with my wife . I won't tolerate any nonsense if it has her in it ." I said with a stern tone and Vani's face hung low .
"Oh you are his wife wife ? So Mrs Saini , how is Aditya treating you ? By the way you can ask me for tips i know ways how to calm his anger ." She replied with a sinister smile pasted on her face while Gauri looked at me with a questioning look .
"Oh wait . You didn't know ? Poor you . I am Vani Aditya's ex wife ." She said while offering Gauri her hand .
Gauri looked at me and then the rest of the family in a questioning manner and then jerked her hand from me taking a step away from me and then stood near Vani before replying to her question .
"I don't need your suggestions on how to handle my husband . It looks like perhaps he didn't treat you well because he never shows me anger . Poor you . Tchtctchh ." Gauri said making Vani's face sunk in defeat .
"Gauri , Just think about it . You will always be given the label of his second wife . He loved me way before he loved you or wait does he even love you ?" She whispered to Gauri in a low voice but I heard it and tried to take gauri away from her so that she doesn't have to hear her nonsense but she just jerked off my hand and then looked at me .
"I don't need to think or rethink about anything because i trust him . " Gauri said those words but i know that in that moment she had no visible trust in me . I could sense that from her face and her tone .
"Gauri , I am just advising you . I mean you are really young to understand but anyways that's what elders should do right ? " She said trying to make Gauri believe in her sugarcoated words .
"Oh how old are you ? 90 ? I mean that number suits you ." Gauri said showing her what she actually was .
"Gauri I am just advising you i mean i know him pretty well . We just had to part ways otherwise ask anyone we were the couple everyone wanted to be ." She said while exxagerting trying to make Gauri feel bad .
I could sense Gauri's trust in me breaking more and more each second with Vani's venomous words .
"I don't mean to burst your bubble but I haven't heard a single person talk about you and Aditya ." Gauri replied making Vani grit her teeth .
"And by the way by parting ways what do you mean ? " Gauri asked vani while taking a step closer to her.
" I mean- he couldn't give just me time anymore ." She said while looking at gauri lying straight on her face .
"Stop lieing you cheated on me ." I said blurting out the truth in my tough in stern tone .
"That too with my bestfriend ." I said again making her look here and there .
"Aditya you were busy all the time . You never had time for me . We had been married for eight months and you never touched me and i had my needs too ." She said making Gauri look at her .
"Oh so all you wanted was to take care of your physical needs right then where is that boy of yours ? " Gauri asked Vani who made it look like she was about to cry .
"He left me ." Vani said fake crying making Gauri chuckle .
" Now i get why you are in the media line because all they want is people who can make the truth sound like lie and the lie sound like the truth ." Gauri said while looking at her and chuckling sarcastically .
"You ! Stay in your limits ." Vani said pointing her finger at Gauri .
"Already scared ? I didn't even start yet ." Gauri said while smiling mockingly .
"Listen Vani this may have been your house but it isn't anymore so get the fuck out of my house before i make you do so ."Gauri said while snapping at her and showing her the main door .
"It's you birthday two days later Aditya . Won't you invite me ?" Vani said trying to come near me but Gauri stood infront of her .
"No he won't ."Gauri said giving her the appropriate reply to her inappropriate question .
" And who are you to decide that ? "Vani asked her .
"What you failed to be . Now before I have to call the guards leave ."Gauri said showing her , her place in this house and my life .
" Oh how did i forget you don't understand human tongue . " Gauri said while looking at her .
"Kindly fuck off . "Gauri said shooing her off .
"Bye Vani . It was very Nice meeting you ." Gauri said mockingly waving bye to Vani and guiding her out of the house .
After Vani left the house Gauri looked at me with an angry face and then stormed upstairs .
I followed her to maybe try and rest my case before her .
" Do you love her ? " She asked me that question as soon as she entered the room as she clearly knew that i was following her .
"No . Not even a single bit . " I replied to her that too without missing a beat and tried to step closer to her but she showed me her hand and i stopped there .
" Did you ever love her ?" She asked me and I could sense the betrayal in her voice .
" I used to . But that doesn't matter because i don't love her now and I never can . She cheated on me ." I said trying to rest my case before her .
"And you cheated with me . You lied . I told you everything about me but you hid such an important thing from me ." She said grabbing my collars .
"Gauri ! I was about to tell you ! " I replied .
"About to ? About to ! Seriously ? We were together so many times and you didn't get the time to tell me once ? She asked me .
"I am sorry ! I really am ! " I said looking at the floor in guilt but she just chuckled.
" Sorry ! Say that sorry when you really mean ! I don't care about people and you know that very well ! I started to think about you ! Looks like i have to stop thinking now " She said leaving my collar and turned back but i held her by her wrist so she turned around to face me .
"Gauri ! I really mean it ! Trust me ! "I said looking straight into her eyes.
"What she said was it true ? She asked me jerking of my hand .
" What " ? I asked her .
"That you both were the couple everyone admired to be !" She asked me .
"She is the only one who thinks that! I never smiled when I was with her she never made me happy ! All she was after was money ! I couldn't give her time because I was building my career and she didn't understand that ! She cheated on me with my bestfriend i was heartbroken! She said that she doesn't want someone who can't give her time and someone who can't give her the life she deserves and now that I have everything she came back ! "I told her everything.
"Aditya ! I need some alone time ! I will talk and listen to you later ! "She said but I stopped her .
"If you want alone time then stay here I will go in the other room ! If you go somewhere else I would worry if you were okay or not !" I said
"I know how to protect myself "! She said and picked up her car keys from the table and left the room .
"Aditya you messed up really bad ! "I thought to myself running my hands through my hair in frustration.
They are getting distant again ! Can they mend their ways again into each other's hearts ?
