I returned back home and threw my bag on the bed and sat near the window looking outside and I was furious not that he betrayed me but because why did he have to do that ? Why does everyone want to target me so much ? Do they want my company or they just can't handle me being on top ?
"Hey ! You fine ?" I heard a voice and that voice just soothened me and i smiled and looked at the owner of that voice .
I saw aditya he was again looking so tired.
"Aditya ! You always look so tired ! Why don't you take a leave and rest someday ?" I asked him looking at him who was taking of his watch off .
"Gauri ! This is my work and it soothens me ! I like saving lives I makes me feel like i helped someone live who was helpless and couldn't save themselves!" He said and i smiled looking at him .
"This world needs more people like you !" I said and looked outside the window.
"And why so ? "He asked me .
"Because we lack good people ! "You are a good person but plus point i know one thing! I said looking at him .
"What ? "He asked me before entering the washroom to wash his hands.
"If i ever get sick or get into an accident or something you can save me !" I said looking outside the window but he didn't reply instead after a few seconds he came outside the washroom and stood infront of me.
"What ?" I asked him looking at him .
"Why are you so obsessed with all this death stuff ! "Can you stop saying that something is going to happen to you ! He said looking at me .
"Well everyone is gonna die someday !" I said looking at him .
"That someday is not today ! "He said looking at me with sharp eyes . This was the first time that I saw a glimpse of anger in his eyes .
"Aditya ! Relax ! "I said looking at him .
"Just never say this death thing ever again in front of me !" He said and left the room .
"What has gotten into him ? "I thought to myself and then sat down again watching the beautiful stars dwel into the blue sky .
I checked my watch and it was almost dinner time so i went downstairs.
I was on my way downstairs tying my hair in a bun when my eyes fell to the person who was looking more so digging into my soul kind of staring .
"Gauri ! You are ! "Maa said and i gave her a smile .
"Gauri ! Come sit here !" His father said patting the seat next to him .
"Are you sure ? "I asked him because ...
"But papa i want to sit with you !"
"No my son will sit with me ! You are a disappointment anyways ! Atleast he can earn money all you can do is play with dolls ! "
"Yes beta ! I am sure ! "He said passing me a smile and i took the seat next to him .
"Gauri Chachi !" Chaarvi said coming to me and hugging me .
"Yes my love ! "I replied in a sweet voice and someone choked on literal water .
"Aditya ! You alright?" Maa asked him patting his back .
"Maa how will he be fine his wife is calling someone else baby !" Sanjivini bhabhi said teasing him and he looked at me like he had seen a ghost .
"Chachi ! We are going shopping tomorrow for chachu's surprise birthday party !" She said smiling at me and all the others except aditya facepalmed themselves.
"I told you not to tell him ! I even bribed you with chocolate !" Sanjivini bhabhi said looking at him .
"Guys you are planning a birthday party for me ? "He asked them .
"Shut up and act like you didn't hear anything !" Ved bhai said looking at aditya.
"Okay ! What were we talking about ?" He said asking them acting all clueless.
"Baby ! "Sanjivini bhabhi said acting like she was coughing and aditya gave her a death glare .
"Chachi ! We are going for shopping! Will you come with us ?" Chaarvi asked me cutely pouting and cupping my cheeks .
"Chaarvi she must be bus-
"It's okay bhabhi! I can take a leave or go late or work from home for one day ! After all this cute little munchkin asked me ! "I said and they all looked at me like they had seen a ghost .
Chaarvi got down my arms and went back to her mother ! I picked up the glass of water and was drinking it when someone said something that made me choke on it ..
"Gauri ! You would make an amazing mother !" Sanjivini bhabhi said looking at me and i choked on the water .
"Are you okay gauri !" Before anyone could have asked me aditya sprinted from his seat and asked me .
"I am okay ! "I said and looked at him then here and there and he smiled a little rubbing the back of his head .
We all ate and then went back to our respective rooms ! Aditya didn't say anything and i am really bad at starting conversations ! It's mostly aditya who says the first thing .
"So it's your birthday ?" I asked him but we were laying down on the bed and face other sides . He didn't reply for a second so i thought maybe he was asleep.
"Yes !" He replied back .
"I didn't know !" I replied back .
"I didn't expect you to know ! "He said and i turned to face him but he was still facing the other side .
"It's not like you know my birth- Before i could complete my sentence aditya replied .
"9th February ! "He said and i was about to face the other side when he turned back and faced me .
"Sorry !" I replied looking straight at his eyes .
"Second time ! "He said .
"What ? "I asked him .
"It's the second time you have said sorry to me ! "He replied back .
"You remember everything so easily and here I am who forgets her own birthday!" I said looking at him .
"You don't forget it ! You just don't want to remember it ! "He said looking at me .
"There's nothing good to remember about that day !" I replied back .
"Papa but it's my birthday today ! "
"I don't care ! "
"There is ! "He replied back .
"What ? "I asked him curiously.
"If you had not been born then you would have not been in my life !" He said looking at me .
"Then someone else would have been !" I replied .
"But still it wouldn't have been you !" He replied back looking straight into my eyes .
"Aditya ! Tell me something you like about me ! " I said looking at him .
"How about everything! I told you before you i don't have words to describe what you or that little smile of yours does to me ! " He replied back looking into my eyes .
I didn't know what got into me but i just hugged him but when I realised I was about to get off but he held me from my waist stopping me .
"Don't ! "He said.
"Thanks Aditya ! "I said snuggling more into the hug .
"For what ?" He asked me .
"For being there everytime no matters the circumstances ! "I said .
"And thanks for letting me be there !" He replied and i chuckled lightly .
"But you didn't still tell me when your birthday is ? "I asked him again looking at him .
"19 th July ! "He replied.
"But isn't that like 2 days later ?" I asked him .
"Yeah ! Gauri by the way I need to tell you something! "He said
"What?" I asked him .
"Leave it ! I will tell you clearly tomorrow ! You sleep it's already very late !" He said and switched off the lights .
"Good night Mr Doctor !" I said looking at him as he was still hugging me .
"Good night Mrs ceo ! "He replied and i hugged him back too .

Third person pov -
That night they didn't know when they slept all they know is that the embrace was so warm that they just sunk into it . They didn't want sweet dreams anymore because what they dreamt of was already real .
Gauri's pov -
In the morning -
I woke up and found aditya still hugging me . I smiled and tried to get his hand off my waist but ..
"Sleep na gauri ! You don't have work today ! "He whined but i still got out of his embrace.
"But i have a little kid who is waiting for me and if i don't go she may cry ! So tata bye bye ! "I said and left from there .
I got ready but that sleepyhead was still asleep guess his surgeries are late today . I looked at his sleeping figure in the mirror and then ultimately decided to wake him up .
"Aditya ! Get up don't you have work at the hospital ?" I asked him trying to get him up .
"No ! My surgeries are later in the night ! You come and sleep ! "He said trying to pull me with him but I got up and went downstairs.
"Chaaru !" I looked at chaarvi who was running approaching me .
"Chachi ! You are here ! I was waiting for you !" Chaarvi said hugging me .
"Now I am here come on let's go !" I said and she held my hand and all three of us went out to shop .
This was the first time in a while that i was shopping for myself that too without sakshi or mumma but i enjoyed a lot with sanjivini and that little munchkin too .
We were entering the house talking and laughing at something when suddenly my eyes fell to aditya who was hugging a girl ! Or was the girl hugging him .
He looked at me and he pushed her away and i looked at him with an arched eyebrows look ! He looked at sanjivi and she appeared to be shocked as well .
"Vani ! What is she doing here ?" Sanjivini bhabhi said looking at the girl who aditya just pushed away from him.
Who is this Vani ? I thought to myself..
