Gauri's pov -
The next day both of us returned back
to our home and went to our respective works . Aditya had some surgeries so he left early and i had some projects to work on not a lot so i left a little late than usual.
I was working when suddenly my phone rang !
"Hello !" I picked up the phone not even looking at the screen because I knew who it exactly could be .
What are you doing ? Aditya asked me on the call .
"Nothing just working !" I said typing something on the laptop .
"So that means you are not free !"He said with a visible sulking tone .
"I am but i can do the work later i have all day to complete the work !" I said smiling on the phone call .
"Don't smile so much when I am not there i mean I want to look at your smile you know it - ! " He was about to say but instead of him i finished the sentence now being way too familiar to it .
"Strengthens you ! I know i have heard it multiple times ! "I said still smiling .
"So i will pick you up in twenty minutes ! "He said .
"Okay ! I will be down in nineteen minutes fifty nine second ! "I said and he chuckled on the call and then put down the call .
I went downstairs and saw sakshi coming to me .
"What happened sakshi ! Everything okay ?" I asked her .
"I am okay ! What about you madam ? Indian Suit and all ! "She said over exaggeratingly and pointing at me from up to down .
"So what can't i wear a suit now ? "I asked her looking here and there .
"You can but you never do so i just wanted to know !" She said and then laughed looking at me .
"Do that again and I will fire you "! I said but this time with a straight face and looked outside the door only to find him standing leaning back at his bike with his helmet in his hand .
"Okay bye ! "I said and shook her hand and left from there and she turned around to see where I was going and then smiled .
"Mam ! Gauri mam seems so happy these past few days !" An employee said asking sakshi who was busy looking at gauri smiling outside standing with aditya .
"She is ! She is finaally happy ! I am happy she got what she always wanted! "Sakshi said and smiled looking at them and then left from there .
"So Mrs ceo is now wearing suits and all ?" Aditya asked me but I took out the keys from the bike .
"All of you react to much ! It's just a suit ! " I said flicking my hair .
"I know but you don't like to wear suits so i asked ! "He said sitting on the bite .
"Koi baat nahi kabhi kabhi Hume woh cheeze karni chahiye Jo hum aise hi nahi karte ! "I said looking at him and he arched in eyebrows in shock because this wasn't something i would normally say.
( It's okay sometimes people should do things they normally won't do ! )
"Got it ! Plus i don't care about what you wear you look beautiful anyway!" He said and I looked at him and then here and there because I was obviously flustered.
"What happened ? You okay ?" He asked me .
"Yeah I am fine but get off ! I will drive this time !" I said taking the keys from his hands .
"That's fine with me as long as you don't plan on killing me !" He said getting off the bike .
"That was exactly my motive ! You are smart !" I said and sat on the bike and started it and he sat behind me .
"Wait you didn't tell me where we are going !" I asked him looking at him from the mirror .
"Just a drive ! Stop anywhere or near a tea stall !" He said and I nodded and started the bike .
After driving here and there for a while I stopped near a tea stall and aditya went to get the tea and i went and sat on a bench .
It was so sunny that the sun was hitting directly on my face ! I decided to change the seat but before i could get up aditya came and stood in front of me !
"What ?"I asked him .
"The sun was hitting your face so ! And yeah tea ! "He said passing me a cup of tea .
"It's okay ! You don't have to keep standing for that come and sit ! " I said patting the seat next to me .
"You sure you won't move a little and little and then fall !" He asked me laughing.
"I will try !"I replied and both of us laughed .
We were drinking tea and talking or you can say more so gossiping.
After a while he went back to his work and i went back to mine !
"Gauri ! Remember the meeting with the investors ! "Sakshi said bursting inside my cabin .
"Yeah ! I remember !" I said looking up at her.
"They want to do the meeting today !" She said running her hand through her hair .
"But wasn't the meeting tomorrow!" I asked her checking my schedule.
"It was but they have some really important work tomorrow so they want the meeting today !" She said and i sighed .
"Well looks like we don't have an option! I mean they have been wanting a meeting for so long but i have just been dodging it !" I said looking at the screen .
"Okay ! I will start the preparation! The meeting is in 3 hours ! Bye !" She said closing the door of the cabin and leaving .
Aditya had a remaining surgery so he didn't call so those three hours before the meeting were just me working on the project and checking and answering the mails !
"Gauri ! They are here !" Sakshi said and the left and i picked up my computer and also went to meeting room .
"Hi ! Mr vedansh ! "I said shaking his hand .
"Hi ! I am sorry I did not quite catch your name ! "I said to the woman who was shaking my hand .
"Vani ! My name is Vani !" I am a new investor in their company ! She said shaking my hand .
"Nice to know you vani !" I said shaking her hand .
"Same here !"She said passing me a smile .
"So let's hear about the deal ! Mr Vedansh you rescheduled the meeting may I know why ?" I asked him leaning back at my chair .
"Ms Vani here has some work to get done tomorrow and she wanted to meet you so that's why ! "He said looking at me .
"Very important work ! I wouldn't have said to reschedule the meeting but the work is just so important!" She said looking at me.
"Well let's talk about our professional life ! " I said and sakshi passed vedansh the smile but ms Vani took it instead .
She opened it and started to look through the file !
I was talking to Mr Vedansh about the when Vani put down the file on the table so i looked at her .
"Ms Gauri "! Vani said looking at me.
"Mrs Gauri !" I corrected her because I hate people who make mistakes.
"Mrs Gauri your designs don't tend to impress me a lot !"She said looking at me crossing her arms.
"Well that's upto your liking ! "I said taking the file from her side .
"So what won't you try to improve it and impress me again ! "She said and vedansh gulped . He knows that i don't like people who question and answer themselves.
"You said you didn't like it so why would I waste my time trying to convince you to like something you didn't like !" I said looking at her and also crossing my arms .
"So ! "She said looking at me with sharp eyes .
"Don't do this ! If she talks back then you are dead !" Mr Vedansh whispered to her but she just ignored it .
"So what ! I need to make her acknowledge the fact that her designs are not upto the mark ! "She said looking at him then me as i darkly chuckled.
"Ms Vani how long have you been in this buisness ? "I asked her .
"1 year ! "She said looking at me .
"I have been working here since I was 19 and now I am 29 so who has more experience?"I asked her .
"But still your designs are bad !" She said looking at me with sharp eyes .
"Ms Vani tell me five things that you don't like about the design!" I asked her and I could see vedansh regretting his whole life descisions .
"The way it's drawn ! The texture and the --!" She was trying to list out the things .
"The designs are digital so how do you know the texture and we don't draw digital things as much as i know !" I said and she gulped .
"If you are here to get clips of me shouting! Then that's not gonna happen! And you Mr vedansh check before recruiting people she is a reporter I knew it the second i saw her camera in that vase behind there !" I said looking at her and her and vedansh's faces turned blank .
"Very nice acting by the way Mr Vedansh !" I said looking at him and he gulped at my gaze .
"You are out of this project Mr Vedansh ! And by the way Thanks for giving me this lesson that traitors can hide in a disguise of a friend too ! I won't ever forget you ! You taught me something i didn't know !" I said and got up from there .
"Mr Vedansh! I feel more proud of myself today I mean nice to know that you are scared that a woman can beat you !" I said leaving from there with a sinister smile .
"Shit ! "Vani cursed herself.
"I paid you to expose her you couldn't even do that !" Vedansh said to her .
"Don't worry she challenged me ! I will expose her !" She said getting up and taking the camera out from the vase .
Meanwhile ~
"Sakshi mam ! It looks like Gauri mam is angry ! "An employee said to sakshi .
"Yeah ! She is who wouldn't be ! Everyone betrayed her ! Only aditya can calm her down now !" Sakshi said looking at
gauri through the glass of her cabin .
