Both of the families had decided that this was gonna be ! They thought that they were perfect for each other that they completed each other when in reality not one of them was happy with this decision ! He was happy to cure her but didn't look at her with love even once .
Gauri 's pov -
"Gauri ! This is not a funeral !" Mumma said looking at me with an irritated look by my conditions of this marriage function .
"Mumma ! I know that ! But you know i don't believe in love or marriages and you know why ! They are all a hoax ! I told her .
"No one does at first but eventually they lean in and fall in love !" Mumma said in her delusions.
"Didn't you fall in love too mumma ?" I asked her with teary eyes.
"Gauri !" She shouted with visible anger in her eyes .
"Sorry ! My mistake ! Again !"I said looking at her with still a straight face.
"Mom u know that i don't like big functions i am fine with you doing whatever you want for the wedding but please no other functions ! I have work and it's my main priority!" I said folding my hands in front of her .
"Okay fine but how will you have mehendi , haldi and engagement like that !" Mumma asked me .
"Well we can Exchange wedding bands on the wedding day ! You can apply haldi to me as only you matter to me and if you want i will get mehendi applied with you !" I told her in a soft voice trying to state my case in front of her .
"Umm ! But why do you want them like this ?" Mumma asked me .
"Mumma please ! For the sake of your happiness i got ready to get married to someone i met just once ! Please take at least one of my requests into consideration !" I said looking at her with puppy eyes .
"Okay fine ! Don't torture me with that puppy looks ! Drama queen !" Mumma said when i just went to her and hugged her .
"Only for you !" I said giggling

Aditya's pov -
Her mother told my mother about her conditions ! They were quite unusual but usual for an introvert ! Seems like she doesn't want to face someone ! But who ?
"I will figure out the reason !" I thought to myself .
Skip to the wedding -
The haldi and mehendi were done with and now it was the day of their wedding ! Deep inside his mind the only thing he wanted to do was cure her and deep inside she was scared to get attached to him and eventually fall for him ! For her love was the most hurtful thing in the world but ...

Gauri 's pov -
I was getting ready for the wedding ! I was not happy ! I had no visible reactions or emotions on my face ! The only thing I felt was fear to get attached to him and eventually love him ! I can't love him ! I can't fall for anyone ! It's just that my past still haunts me and always will till the day i die ! I still get shivers thinking about everything again ! Without any idea a lone tear left my eyes which i wiped very quickly before it could have come to anyone's notice.
"You are not meant to cry ! You are meant to make people cry ! "I said to myself and gathered the energy and Walked downstairs alone .
Where is her brother and father aren't they meant to do this ?

GAURI 'S Look -
Aditya's pov -
I looked towards the stairs and found her coming from there ! I would be lying if i said i didn't smile looking at her ! She was looking as if an angel fell from the sky and directly landed at the altar ! But i saw that only her mother was with her on her side no one else was there .
Where are her father and brother ?
She came and sat down near me in the altar and then the jaimala started .
His look ~
The jaimala ended and we exchanged rings as she had said no for the engagement ..
The rings -
Then it was time for the main wedding :- The Kanyadan and the pheras .
I looked there and found only her mother sitting in the altar for the pheras ! The wedding happened so fast that i forgot to ask about her family .
First at the entry now at the kanyadan only her mother was present !
Where are her father and brother?
I looked at her but she was the same as always ! No expressions and no words came out of her mouth ! Her silence was somehow bothering me now ...
Then the kanyadan ended and pheras started !
The first round of pheras is all about promising each other nourishment, prosperity, and happiness. The groom promises, "Om esha ekapadi bhava iti prathaman" which means that he would provide her happiness and food, and take care of her nourishment !
the second phera, the couple pleads to God for imparting them with mental stability, physical health and spiritual strength so that they can live their life smoothly after getting entangled in this pure relation of being husband-wife forever ! Bridegroom's pledge/promise !
In the third phera, The couple invoke the God to provide them with uttermost wealth, wisdom and prosperity so that they can live contented and satisfied ever after. Third phera also signifies the importance of religious and sacred responsibility which shall be performed by the couple in their future life !
the fourth phera, the couple vows to shower each other with immense happiness and respect. The groom thanks his wife by saying, "Om Mayo Bhavyas Jaradastaya ha" which means that he is thankful to his bride for making his life sacred and beautiful!
The fifth phera is taken to pray for the welfare of all living entities in the entire universe and for begetting noble children !
The sixth vow is for health
In this Phera the couple promises the God that they will live an honest and noble life. They also pray for a healthy and disease-free life ! They pray for their strength so that they can fulfil their responsibilities towards each other.
The seventh phera is for promising love ,health and forever lasting evergreen bond !
Just like this the pheras were over and then i tied the scared mangalsutra around her neck and then added vermilion in her hair partition ...
" Shaadi sanpan hui ab aap dono pati patni hai !" The panditji announced.
GAURI 'S pov -
"Now begins the end of my happy life !" I mockingly thought to myself because my life can only have pain and sorrows and i highly doubt that this man's presence can make any difference ! I thought to myself and got up while all of them got up after me .
It was time for vidaai i threw the rice backwards hugged my mother and she cried a little and went and I sat in my car while mumma asked me !
"Why are you sitting in your car ? " Mumma asked me .
"Because I have to take it there anyways so i thought let's take it right now !" I said looking at her .
"The driver will do that !" Mumma said and i looked at her when he said .
"It's okay aunty ! Let her go by her car ! It's not that big of an issue ! He said smiling and looking at my mother .
"Such a sugar-coat!" I thought to myself and rolled my eyes.
"Bu- !" mumma was about to say something when his mother interrupted.
"It's okay Ankita ! Let her go by her car ! We don't mind it !" She said looking at my mother and patting her back .
"Okay ! "She answered and i started the key and was about to leave when he spoke .
"Wait !" He called me from behind .
"What ?" I asked turning my head to face him .
"Want to get lost ? Wait a minute and follow us otherwise u will get lost trying to find the house !" He said looking at me .
"Okay ! Fine !" I felt dissatisfied as this was the first time I agreed with someone leaving my mother .
I waited a few minutes then he went and drove his car alongside his family .
And soon i reached his house or mansion and it was very close to his hospital .
Where are her father and brother?
Why is she afraid to love ?
What is in her past ?
Will she ever be able to soften her heart and melt ?
